EWI cyber chief Bruce McConnell discusses China's surprise move in allowing foreign technology companies to join a key government committee in an effort to ease foreign concerns over planned domestically-set controls.
“It’s still early days, but there are encouraging signs that China is recognizing the international nature of the tech supply chain and working more broadly to align its strategy with the market realities,” said McConnell in a Wall Street Journal article on August 25.
