Dr. Parker Named NDU Foundation President and CEO, Will Join EWI Board of Directors

Dr. William J. Parker III has been named by the National Defense University (NDU) Foundation Board of Directors as the Foundation's President and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 10, 2018.

For the past three years, Dr. Parker served as the EastWest Institute’s (EWI) Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw offices in New York, Brussels, Moscow and San Francisco.

"Dr. Parker has been a tremendous asset to the EastWest Institute," said EWI Chairman of the Board Ross Perot, Jr. "During his tenure, the institute has grown significantly—financially, programmatically and reputationally—and this is a testament to Dr. Parker’s exceptional work. We are pleased that Dr. Parker will continue to further the EWI mission by joining our Board of Directors."

Dr. Parker is a retired senior naval officer with significant command experience. He holds a Ph.D. from George Mason University's Department of Molecular and Microbiology, an MPA from Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a B.S. from the United States Air Force Academy, where he was a distinguished military graduate.
