EWI's David Firestein participated in Army War College's National Security Program in late July.

David Firestein, Perot Fellow and Vice President for the Strategic Trust-Building Initiative and Track 2 Diplomacy at the EastWest Institute, participated in the U.S. Army War College Commandant’s National Security Program on July 21-24, 2014. This program is the capstone event for the graduating class of the Master of Strategic Studies degree and provides an important platform for frank exchanges on opportunities and challenges in national security policy and strategy with policymakers, senior commanders, thought leaders and other experts across various disciplines, sectors and experience levels.  It also allows experts to interact with some of the next generation of future senior commanders, while raising students’ awareness of the society they serve, in the context of a dynamic global security environment.
