EWI’s mission is to make our world a safer and better place and to do so in ways that can be measured. The full-time staff of about 50 is complemented by a large global network of value-based “can do” women and men around the globe, providing expertise in a variety of areas. A sampling of some of our recent accomplishments:
EWI brings together U.S. and Russian experts to find solutions to the problem of Afghan narcotrafficking, an issue of critical concern to both countries. As part of this work, EWI facilitated the first-ever bilateral meeting on the topic of drugs demand reduction between officials from Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN) and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
