Christopher LaBianco serves as the Vice President of Development at the East West Institute.
Christopher joins EWI having served as the Regional Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross, for the Greater New York region, as well as the Chief Development Officer for the USA Swimming Foundation, one of the United States Olympic Committees top sport governing bodies.
He is also a former Managing Director and founding partner of the New York City based fundraising and philanthropic services firm, Changing Our World. Christopher brings two decades of development experience and expertise to EWI. As a fundraising professional, he has a distinguished track record of successful partnerships across the not-for-profit sector having worked with healthcare, faith based, social service, and trade associations. He most recently led the Greater New York American Red Cross Region during Super-storm Sandy, raising more than $75M for relief and recovery efforts for the victims of the Storm.
Christopher served on the United States Senate staff of Senator Frank Lautenberg, NJ as well as United States House of Representatives staff of Congressmen Herbert Klein, NJ and Congressman Robert Torricelli, NJ in Washington DC handling legislative and constituent matters. He also served the residents of the Borough of Leonia, NJ as an elected Councilman, an office he held for seven years, representing 10,000 constituents.
Christopher holds a Master’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University. He attended Auburn University on a full athletic scholarship in the sport of swimming. Christopher is married to Shannon LaBianco and has two sons Christopher Jr. and Ethan.
