Ikram Sehgal is the Chairman of PATHFINDER GROUP, comprising two of the largest private security Pakistani companies, with 15,000 employees in over 50 cities and towns in Pakistan, supported independently by electronics security and facility services companies.

After graduating from Pakistan Military Academy, Sehgal served in the Pakistan Army in the Infantry and Army Aviation, becoming the first Pakistani prisoner of war in history to escape from India in July 1971. He was given “battlefield promotion” to the rank of major on December 13, 1971. His book “Escape from Oblivion” was published recently by Oxford University Press, adding to the collection of his articles published in 8 books. He has a commercial pilot’s license, logging over 2,000 hours in helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.  Sehgal is the Publisher & Chief Editor of Defence Journal (DJ), and writes weekly columns for various magazines and newspapers.

Presently serving as Director of Bank Alfalah Ltd and General Tyre Ltd. Sehgal is a Foundation member of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Switzerland (on the panel of WEF Global Agenda Council (GAC) for Counter-terrorism) and Business Advisory Board (BAB), International Organization for Migration (IOM), Geneva. Served in the Executive Committee of the American Business Council (ABC); and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Task Force for “Intellectual Property.” Director of the Association of International Mobility (AIM), Geneva, he has been Chairman of the Society of Citizens Rights and for three consecutive terms, he chaired the All Pakistan Security Agencies Association (APSAA). Sehgal has served as Chairman of the Security Committee of ABC, Pakistan, and Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), responsible for devising security against terrorist threats for media institutions and journalists in Pakistan.
