Featuring the Honorable Felipe Calderon, Former President of Mexico

In parallel to Climate Week NYC, the EastWest Institute (EWI) and EarthX will co-host a workshop, entitled: Hydrodiplomacy: Mitigating Climate Security Risk, to be held at EWI’s New York City office from 8:30am - 12pm on Wednesday, September 25.

The half-day workshop will bring together top government officials, experts and business leaders to explore and discuss the risks posed by water insecurity and the most promising paths forward.

The event will feature welcome remarks by Trammell Crow, founder of EarthX, followed by a fireside chat with the Honorable Felipe Calderon, former president of Mexico, and honorary president of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate and the Sustainable Human Development Foundation. The event will also feature a key note by Professor Upmanu Lall, Director, Columbia Water Center as well as a panel discussion featuring regional experts from the field of hydrodiplomacy and water security to examine issues inherent to some of the most globally recognized water stressed regions.
