The EastWest Institute (EWI) will host an encryption policy workshop, “Lawful Access and Security: A Transatlantic Perspective,” in The Hague on Thursday, May 19 aimed at finding middle ground approaches that balance online and offline in the digital era.

This workshop will take place as part the conference on “Privacy in the Digital Age of Encryption and Anonymity Online” from May 19-20, co-hosted by the European Institute of Public Administration and Europol. The conversation will include updates on the encryption debates occurring in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
