Mr. Robert Campbell is founder and CEO of Campbell Global Services LLC, a management consulting and executive advisory firm.

He currently serves on four Corporate boards and three nonprofit Boards. He also serves an advisor to several other businesses. He is also a Senior Advisor to three private equity groups. Campbell is an active angel investor focused on technology, healthcare, and alternative energy.

Campbell began his career with Deloitte LLP, the world’s largest leading professional services firm in 1973 and progressed quickly to the status of Partner in 1980. In 1984, he was selected to lead the Public Sector management consulting practice serving most state governments and many municipal governments nationwide. In 2001, he led the startup of the US Federal practice which has similarly grown to be a market leader, serving as the initial chief executive. He also led Deloitte’s global defense network for several years. From the beginning until his retirement in 2012, Campbell has been the guiding figure in building the public sector practice’s success and eminence.

During his tenure with the firm, Campbell has held a number of leadership and key advisory roles and has contributed significantly to the growth of the firm. In 1999, he received the Curtis Award for Partnership Values from Deloitte Consulting and was designated a Deloitte Consulting Senior Partner in 2000. Campbell also guided industry-leading public policy research from Deloitte Research, the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions and the Deloitte Center for Cyber Innovation, all of which he has been instrumental in leading to their present levels of excellence.

Campbell has advised leaders of government in such areas as program planning and evaluation, information systems planning and development, business process analysis, performance improvement, and organizational transformation. He has worked with leaders of Federal agencies as well as with leaders in more than 40 states on projects related to finance and administration, economic development, employment, higher education, human services, education, Medicaid, mental health, developmental disabilities, public health care, revenue and taxation, and student loan finance. He has helped lead many of the most important state and federal transformation initiatives of the past generation.

Campbell is an honors graduate of Austin College, where he was President of the Student Body and inducted into the Athletic Hall of Honor and holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. He serves on the Advisory Board of the LBJ School and the Executive Committee of the University of Texas System’s Chancellor’s Council.
