Ellen Jorgensen was the Director of Development at the EastWest Institute. Prior to this position, she served as Deputy Executive Director at the Women’s Commission for Refugee Women and Children, handling a range of programmatic, fundraising and management responsibilities. She has also been the Team Leader for Save the Children’s Hurricane Katrina program in Mississippi and Louisiana; Director of Individual Gifts at the American Indian College Fund; and Africa Program Director at Lutheran World Relief.

Ellen holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a master’s degree from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
