John Jovanovic works as an Investment Director at Mercuria Energy Group Ltd. Active across global markets, Mercuria Energy Group is a privately held international commodity trading company.

Since 2016, Jovanovic has served on the Board of Directors for Pin Oak Holdings, a partnership dedicated to the acquisition, development, and operations of midstream and downstream assets in the U.S. Gulf Coast.

John serves on the McCain Institute for International Leadership's Next Generation Leaders Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle, which is an independent economic think tank.

John participates as a Senior Advisor to Concordia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that facilitates public-private partnerships and convenes the largest private sector summit in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly.  He co-chairs the Junior Board of HealthCorps, a non-profit organization that provides nutrition, fitness, and stress modification education to teenage students in over 60 schools across the United States.

John is member of the investment committee of ICT Hub Venture, the first private equity fund for early stage startups in Serbia.

Jovanovic attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where he received an MBA in Finance and Management. He completed his BA in Politics from Princeton University.
