John Jovanovic is an Investment Director at Mercuria Energy Group Ltd., a privately held Swiss international commodity trading company active over a wide spectrum of energy markets globally.
Previously, Jovanovic was a member of the Energy Capital & Origination division at Noble Group, a global commodity trading firm, prior to which he was an investment professional at Cadent Energy Partners, a North American energy-focused private equity fund. Before joining Cadent, Jovanovic was a member of the investment banking divisions of Berenson & Company and Deutsche Bank AG in New York City.
Jovanovic holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Princeton University and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Pin Oak Terminals, the McCain Institute for International Leadership's Next Generation Leaders Advisory Council and the Christ Church Day School Committee in New York City. Jovanovic serves as co-chair of the Junior Board of HealthCorps, a non-profit organization that provides school-based and organizational health education and peer mentoring in addition to community outreach to under-served communities throughout America. In honor of his Balkan heritage, John supports philanthropic, entrepreneurial, and leadership endeavors in the region.
Jovanovic lives in New York City with his wife and their two children.
