Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Kambaiz finished a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pune, India and continued his studies in London, UK, completing a M.A. in International Political Economy at King’s College London. He also studied a one year diploma in National Security and International Relations in India under retired officers from the Indian Army. He supported the EastWest Institute in Washington and previously worked as an intern with the Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations. He is interested in debates concerning global political economy, the Middle East, Islamic Studies and the interrelations between politics and economics.
