Leo Schenker was Senior Advisor at Central-National Gottesman Inc., one of the largest privately owned worldwide sales organizations in the pulp and paper industry. He joined the organization in 1949 and has since then assumed positions of increasing geographical and functional responsibilities. In 1974, he was put in charge of all international newsprint, paper and board sales and marketing.
Known throughout the industry as a talented business leader, Mr. Schenker's key accomplishments include his ability to recognize and develop new markets, his facility for identifying top level business talent and his unique skills in the international arena, including a remarkable knowledge of numerous cultures and languages.
Mr. Schenker was a member of the Chairman's Council of the United Nations and was until recently on the Business Advisory Council of the Chancellor of Austria. He was a long-standing member of the EastWest Institute's Board of Directors and served on the Institute's Executive Committee.
Mr. Schenker served as a Director and Advisor to several paper companies.
